| Although we often hear that the eyes are the windows to the soul, it is through the skin that Claudia Colombo first looks deeply into her clients. They come to her hoping to eliminate acne, reduce brown spots and deter the aging process but wind up learning a great deal more about their individual vulnerabilities and overall health. Through Claudia they discover how to restore a healthy glow not just to their skin but also to their minds, bodies and spirits. |
Claudia developed her extensive skincare knowledge and technique at a number of top New York City spas, including Bliss, where she spent 9 years catering to an exacting, celebrity-studded clientele (Cindy Crawford, Demi Moore, Ashley Judd, Jennifer Aniston, Julia Roberts and Julianne Moore were all regulars). But Claudia’s learning also extended in other directions—she is a medical esthetician, certified massage therapist in the ancient Thai practice of Nuad-Bo Rarn; a board-certified Holistic Health Counselor, accredited by the Association of Drugless Practitioners; and a graduate of The Institute for Integrative Nutrition affiliated with Columbia University. In 2005, Claudia established her own business, Fábula, in order to integrate all her expertise into a truly unique skincare practice with a more holistic approach to beauty. Everything she offers reflects her commitment to organic, cruelty-free products, and is also free of artificial preservatives and fragrance, sodium laurel sulfate, coloring and added parabens.
Claudia is a member of the American Humane Association and the National Cosmetology Association affiliated with Esthetics America/Cidesco USA, the world's leading international association of beauty therapists. She is a member of the National Coalition of Estheticians, helping to set national standards for the skincare industry. She also volunteers for the Look Good Feel Better Organization, to help cancer patients deal with the appearance-related side effects of cancer.
